Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique

In 2005 the RSNO re-ignited Scotland’s Auld Alliance with France when they created a ‘dream team’ of Scotland’s national orchestra and French maestro Stéphane Denève. Now they’re heading to London for an eagerly anticipated performance at the BBC Proms and you are invited to help send them on their way, at a very special free lunchtime performance at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall!

The Symphonie Fantastique is a brilliant psychological fantasy in music, written for massive orchestra. The wild music, which includes the famous Witches’ Sabbath and March to the Scaffold has been used to terrifying effect in Sleeping with the Enemy, The Shining and A Clockwork Orange.
