Enjoy the glorious, golden warmth of the RSNO brass, as Gabrieli’s renaissance masterpiece Sonata Pian’e Forte, written for two antiphonal ensembles, reverberates around the museum’s halls and galleries. Then be immediately enveloped in the tranquil peace of Vaughan Williams’ hauntingly beautiful and delicate Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis performed by the RSNO strings. After the interval (and a rare opportunity for a reflective evening’s wander through the Museum) conductor David Danzmayr brings the full forces of the Orchestra together for Brahms’ great, romantic Fourth Symphony.
TICKETS
Doors open at 6.45pm to allow concert patrons to view the museum and collections. |
