National Anthem - 2006/06/15 16:03
I am wondering why you are holding an international vote on a suitable National Anthem. Surely Scotland's residents should choose Scotland's Anthem? Why should anyone else have a say?
I haven't actually participated in the vote so I don't know; is there any way to indicate where those who vote actually live?

The results of the poll will not be revealed until the Last Night of the ScottishPower Proms on 1 July - results will be posted online shortly afterwards.
The IP address of everyone who votes is recorded and whilst we've been running the poll we've had visits and interest from all over the USA, Europe and Asia - including over 600 web users in from the US State of Virginia alone. We've even had visits from Liberia, Libya, Guam, Guatemala, Ukraine, Kazakstan, Sri Lanka and the Christmas Islands, amongst other nations. And, you've guessed it, there's even been a visitor from Mongolia, although whether its Outer or Inner our web server can't say!
We are inviting Scots from across the globe to register their vote - I hope you add your vote!

You are missing, or avoiding, my main point which is why should anyone not normally resident in Scotland have any say in choosing a National Anthem for Scotland?
