A big thank you to all involved for last night's extraordinary Video Games Live concert. You played your hearts out. The gig crossed many barriers and introduced many people to live symphonic performance. You may well find more people coming to the RSNO season wearing Mario t-shirts
What did you as players think of it? I wondered if this type of thing would go down well with some of the more traditional thinking performers. However, it looked as though you were enjoying yourselves, particularly when that guy (can't remember his name) played the Final Fantasy music for solo piano.
I'm not a gamer, so I was stunned at the level and quality of some of the music last night, particularly Halo, God of War and Civilisation. They are on the same level as your big movie scores, perhaps not requiring so much subtlety, but in terms of impact, atmosphere and power, they certainly do the job.

It was awesome! What a night! The orchestra were on top form despite the lights and playing to a click track. Well done. Can we have more of these please????
Oh, and the Chorus were incredible too!
