I agree that Caledonia is a strong contender. I would vote for it. While the RSNO are musically great, it it is not the RNSO singing at "great" sporting moments and their version of Flower of Scotland would not inspire me as much as the rugby singing fans which would be my second choice.

I think a much greater choice and a considered opinion is needed before an anthem is thrust apon us.

While I am an admirer of Burns I do not think 'A Mans a' Man for a' That' has a parculiarly inspiring tune.

I feel a much longer time should be taken over the decision.

A brilliant scottish song, but I believe "These are my mountains" which is not even shortlisted is a natural non racist and non militaristic anthem for our country.

As it is to be our countrys anthem I really think offering a shortlist of 5 songs is not the way. This is too important to be so fickle.
