I joined the RSNO in December 2003, only 18 months ago – but what a great 18 months it's been!

So far my favourite concert has to be when we playaed Strauss' Metamorphosen for 23 solo strings with Lazarev conducting. His final concert as Principal Conductor was great as well. I also enjoy doing the schools proms – it''s like playing a rock concert with so much screaming coming from the audience! The kids love film themes like Harry Potter or Star Wars and their faces light up with amazement.

Even though I joined the RSNO fairly recently (April 2001) there have already been many highlights for me! We've played Mahler's 2nd symphony twice with two completely different interpretations (one with Weller and one with Walker). In both, the 4th and 5th movements were spine-tingling.
