RSNO Music Director honoured by Glasgow’s Lord Provost PDF Print E-mail

RSNO Music Director Stéphane Denève has been presented with the Lord Provost’s Performing Arts Award at a civic dinner hosted by Glasgow’s First Citizen, the Lord Provost Bob Winter.  The award recognises those who have distinguished themselves in the arts for Scotland’s largest city.

Other recipients this year include Professor Sir John Arbuthnott, poet Edwin Morgan, playwright and writer James Barclay and footballing legends Billy McNeill and John Greig.  The Loving Cup, Glasgow’s highest honour, was presented to Louise Martin CBE who led the team that secured the 2014 Commonwealth Games for Glasgow and is now Chair of sportscotland.
