RSNO Chorus is Recruiting!

The Chorus of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra is looking for new singers to join its ranks. In the lead up to its 175th anniversary in 2018, this is an exciting time to join one of the UK’s most successful choruses.

The RSNO Chorus is an exclusive opportunity for choral singers in Scotland to:

  • Experience a broad range of Choral work from new commissions to popular film scores
  • Rehearse and perform with Scotland’s National Orchestra
  • Perform to audiences across Scotland
  • Join a friendly, hard working group of people who come from all walks of life and who share the same passion: to sing.

The RSNO Chorus rehearses on a Wednesday night at the RSNO Centre in Glasgow, opposite Buchanan Street Bus Station and just a short walk from Queen Street Station.

Entry to the RSNO Chorus is by audition. Come and sing a solo piece that you’ve prepared in advance (someone will be there to accompany you on the piano if you want). You’ll then be asked to do some sight singing and a few other vocal exercises to check your range. Auditions will be held on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 21 September 2016
  • Wednesday 28 September 2016
  • Saturday 3 December 2016
  • Tuesday 4 April 2017

Please email if you would like to attend any of these audition dates. If these dates don’t suit, please get in touch and we’ll endeavour to find a time that works.
