Bill Chandler, Director of Artistic Planning and Engagement
A native of the USA, Bill began his performing career with the Florida Philharmonic and Houston Symphony, then moved to Scotland in 1995 to join the RSNO as Associate Leader. He regularly guest leads orchestras across the UK and is a founding member of both the Glasgow String Quartet and the RSNO’s groundbreaking new music ensemble, Alchemy. Bill has a passion for introducing music to the next generation through music education, presenting concerts and creative projects and took on the role of Artistic Director of Learning and Engagement in addition to his role as the RSNO’s Associate Leader in August 2016. In July 2017, Bill became a full-time member of the administrative team when was appointed as the RSNO's Director of Artistic Planning and Engagement.
Bill joined the staff of the RSNO in August 2016.
