When did you join the RSNO?
I joined the RSNO in February 1985.
Where are you from?
I'm from Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Where did you study?
I studied at the Royal College of Music London.
What do you enjoy most about being in the RSNO?
The Music, the friendship, the variety, my fabulous girlfriends, the laughs. The fantastic buzz of a good concerts. The wonderful tours we have done (the concerts and the partys!)
Tell us your favourite RSNO story/memory so far.
My memory is dropping my bow during a concert in Frankfurt, in April 1986. Neemi Järvi was conducting Scherzo of Dvorak 8th Symphony. I had to get out of my seat to go and retrieve it!
What do you enjoy doing when you're not playing with the Orchestra?
Tidying my cupboards. Going on holiday to Italy with my husband and young daughter, Kate; sadly my two sons have grown up and don't want to come with us anymore!
If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or dead) who would it be, and why?
Anybody you like as long as they do the cooking or pay!
You're stranded on a desert island. You're allowed 3 CDs and 1 book. What would they be, and why?
My CDs would be Eddi Reader's latest album, Schubert Piano Sonata in B flat major D.960 and Sibelius' Fifth Symphony. My book would be Peace at Last by Jill Murphy - it would remind me of my three children who all loved it when they were little.
