Artistic Planning Director

Applications are invited for the position of Artistic Planning Director with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra is one of the Scottish Government’s designated National Companies, one of Europe’s leading symphony orchestras and an arts organisation with a long and prestigious history.

The Artistic Planning Director will be responsible for working with the Music Director and Chief Executive to realise the artistic vision and mission of the RSNO. He/she will be responsible for planning and maintaining the budgets and calendar for Orchestra, Chorus and Learning and Engagement performances, as well as coordinating all other activities of the organisation. The Artistic Planning Director will build on the existing strengths of the company and further the RSNO’s reputation for artistic excellence and innovation both in the UK and abroad.

The successful candidate will be a creative individual who has at least five years of experience in the field, with a proven track record of working with orchestral musicians, international artist managers and artists.

Appointment Details

Contract: Full time, permanent.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
