Every year the RSNO perform a series of presenter-led concerts for primary school aged pupils across Scotland, featuring the full Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
RSNO Primary School concerts aim to support the Curriculum for Excellence, enriching children’s understanding of music and are the perfect introduction to the orchestra for young pupils. The concert performances include interactive elements, including visual projections and integrated sound/lighting.
The new programme of RSNO Primary School concerts entitled RSNO 360 LIVE was launched in Glasgow in 2016, and in addition, toured to Edinburgh in 2017, Dundee in 2018 and will include Aberdeen in the 2019:20 Season.
Each school attending the RSNO Primary School concerts will receive:
- An in-school workshop delivered by RSNO musicians
- Access to a Teacher training session
- Teachers resource pack linking to the themes and concepts explored in the concert programme.
