Primary School Concerts

NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2018

Innovative composers and ingenious inventions: join us as we uncover the hidden secrets of Scotland’s National Orchestra. From Beethoven’s influential 5th Symphony to Bach’s iconic Toccata and Fugue, let your class experience a live symphony orchestra with music they’ll recognise and love.

With interactive elements throughout, the RSNO primary schools concerts aim to enrich children’s understanding of music and are the perfect introduction to the orchestra for young pupils.

Every year the RSNO perform a series of presenter-led concerts for primary school aged pupils across Scotland, featuring the full Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

The new programme of RSNO Primary School concerts entitled RSNO 360 LIVE was launched in Glasgow in 2016, and in addition, toured to Edinburgh in 2017 and will visit Dundee in 2018.

Each school attending the RSNO Primary School concerts will receive:

  • An in-school workshop delivered by RSNO musicians
  • Access to a Teacher training session
  • Teachers resource pack linking to the themes and concepts explored in the concert programme.

Thank you so much for such a terrific concert yesterday morning. Everything about the total experience was cleverly planned and meticulously organised to make the occasion a wonderful learning experience for your young audience. I really can’t thank you enough for enabling our children to have such a positive experience.
