Sir Alexander Gibson Memorial Fellowship for Choral Conductors

Applications are invited for the position of The Sir Alexander Gibson Memorial Fellowship for Choral Conductors with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for Season 2019:20.

This is a choral conducting fellowship open to anyone interested in furthering his or her experience of choral conducting. The fellowship offers the recipient a remuneration of £3,000 per annum, with a travel bursary of up to £500, with the aim being to give experience in the preparation of the Chorus for its concerts, plus an opportunity to work at a very high level with a fine and capable symphonic chorus and its Chorus Director.

The fellowship will involve attendance at rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, piano rehearsals, orchestral rehearsals and performances of the RSNO Chorus for one season from September 2019 to June 2020.
