I joined the RSNO in May 1995.
Where are you from?
I'm originally from Manchester.
Where did you study?
Chetham's School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
What do you enjoy most about being in the RSNO?
The best thing about being in the RSNO is the camaraderie and travelling abroad.
Tell us your favourite RSNO story/memory so far.
My favourite memory was when Lalo Schiffrin conducted with Ray Brown Jazz Trio in a Prom that lasted three hours. Noone wanted to go home!
What do you enjoy doing when you're not playing with the Orchestra?
When I'm not playing with RSNO, I love looking after my children and going to the nearby seaside.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Teaching, cooking and hairdressing are my hidden talents.
You're stranded on a desert island. You're allowed 3 CDs and 1 book. What would they be, and why?
The CDs I would choose to bring would include Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony'; Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante - bliss; Sting's Let Off Steam. The book I would bring would be How To Survive on a Desert Island!
