When did you join the RSNO?
I joined the RSNO in July 1987.
Where are you from?
I'm from Rutherglen.
Where did you study?
I studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD).
What do you enjoy most about being in the RSNO?
The musical highs of being in the RSNO are the best part of being in the Orchestra.
Tell us your favourite RSNO story/memory so far.
The most memorable story from my time at the RSNO was the night I did a jazz duet as an encore with Nigel Kennedy.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not playing with the Orchestra?
When I'm not playing with the Orchestra, I enjoy the great outdoors and practising the piano.
Do you have any hidden talents?
My hidden talent is the ability to drink a pint in 2.8 seconds!
If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or dead) who would it be, and why?
If I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, it would be Robert Burns.
You're stranded on a desert island. You're allowed 3 CDs and 1 book. What would they be, and why?
If I was stranded on a desert island, the book I would bring would be The Diary of Samuel Pepys.
