RSNO launch Sunday Sounds

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra has announced the upcoming launch of Sunday Sounds, a new series of weekend afternoon performances streaming online for free.

This new series is the latest offering from Scotland’s National Orchestra following the launch of the #RSNOchallenge and #RSNOFridayNightClub. Sunday Sounds offers a new variety in concert viewing, as Sunday Sounds will each week feature a different RSNO musician performing from their own home.

The Sunday Sounds series will begin this Sunday, 10 May, at 3pm and is available to view via the RSNO website at rsno.org.uk/Sunday, the Facebook page or YouTube channel.

Head of Concerts and Engagement Bill Chandler said: “As we all endeavour to stay safe, stay home and encourage others to do the same we want to offer yet another great way to enjoy the RSNO in your every weekend with Sunday Sounds. These performances will give you the chance to get to know some of our individual musicians better as they showcase beautiful music streamed directly to you.

“The Lockdown period is a challenging time for so many of us, and our musicians are really missing playing for our wonderful audiences and supporters so we are delighted to bring performances to people in a safe and easily accessible way with Sunday Sounds. If you’re on social media, please let us know where you’re watching from this Sunday using the hashtag #RSNOSundaySounds.”
