Singing Day: Verdi Requiem

Saturday 21 March 2020

10am–4pm: Rehearsal with Gregory Batsleer and piano accompaniment
5pm: Perform in the concert

Rehearse with Gregory Batsleer and the RSNO from 10am–4pm then sing in the concert!

Verdi’s Requiem is one of the most thrilling choral works in existence – and if you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be in the middle of that incredible sound, now’s your chance! In this one-off scratch performance with piano, you’ll get to rehearse it with the RSNO’s Chorus Director Gregory Batsleer, before performing it live in the New Auditorium. And whether you’re a choral society veteran or have only ever sung in the shower, you couldn’t be more welcome to take part.

The ability to read music would be beneficial to those taking part in the day.

Score hire is included in the price of your ticket, but if you would prefer to use your own personal copy of the vocal score, please let us know by selecting the "bringing own score" option for your voice type.

During the booking process you will be asked for the name and position of each person you are booking for; this is to enable us to prepare registration packs for each singer on the day. Please enter each person's voice type (e.g. soprano, alto, tenor, bass) in the "position" field.
