The Dynamo Scholarship Programme is the RSNO’s brand new work experience programme for young people, placing aspiring Scotland-based students in work experiences to kick-start careers in the Creative Industries.
Each placement will be bespoke, ensuring the opportunity fits around schedules and interests.
Scholars will be based in a department and given a mentor to work closely with. Each placement will be slightly different – you could be a runner for a family concert regional tour, behind the scenes recording for a major television or film project, or helping to promote concerts with our marketing team.
No week is the same at the RSNO! Here are a few photos that show the variety of what we do:
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for exceptional, Scotland-based, 18-26 year-olds with a demonstrable passion for the arts, and a willingness to get stuck in and learn on the job. You do not need to have any previous experience working or taking part in the arts.
Please note, Dynamo Scholars does not currently extend to instrumental activity, so whilst we encourage applications from musicians, none of the placements will be in the orchestra itself.
Important Details
Placements will last up to a maximum of 5 weeks and will take place between January and June 2025. These may or may not be consecutive weeks or days.
Placements will be paid at £11.44/hour and there is funding available to help with travel and accommodation costs for those not based in Glasgow.
