In the next stage of the RSNO’s Every Child, Every Community appeal we are raising awareness of the of the financial barriers schools face with the travel costs associated with bringing a primary school class to one of our concerts.
In March we took Yoyo & The Big Sleepover on the road and performed to 4,940 children across Scotland! This performance was completely free for the schools to attend and we offered over £11,500 in bus bursaries to schools to support with growing transport costs. Many schools and councils face continued funding cuts and are ever more reliant on our additional support.
We want to continue to offer schools bursaries that enable them to come to our concerts and introduce children to their national orchestra for the very first time.
