RSNO announces new year tour to Germany Posted Wed 26 November 2025
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) welcomes in the new year with a long weekend in Germany, performing in Ludwigsburg and Dortmund.
The RSNO will be joined on tour by acclaimed conductor Aziz Shokhakimov, current Music Director of Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, and renowned cellist Gautier Capuçon. The tour will take Scotland’s National Orchestra to Ludwigsburg Forum am Schlosspark and Dortmund Konzerthaus, performing a repertoire of Fauré, Saint-Säens and Brahms.
RSNO Chief Executive Alistair Mackie said: ‘Having recently returned from a nine-concert European tour in October, the RSNO’s presence in Europe is increasing and our international reputation is growing from strength to strength. Being able to raise Scotland’s profile and showcase our talent is such an important part of being Scotland’s National Orchestra and something we are very proud to do. I am looking forward to seeing our overseas audiences in the New Year.’
The Scottish Government’s International Touring Fund supports the RSNO.
