Music Director Thomas Søndergård returns with a trio of concerts including The Firebird, Dvořák’s New World Symphony and Sibelius’ Symphony No2. Further Season highlights include renowned violinist Midori’s return to Scotland for the world premiere of Detlev Glanert’s Second Violin Concerto, To the Immortal Beloved, acclaimed South Korean pianist Sunwook Kim performs Brahms Piano Concerto No1 under the baton of rising Finnish star Eva Ollikainen and Principal Guest Conductor Elim Chan launches the festive season with Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker.
Plus don’t miss two great choral classics with the RSNO Chorus: Haydn’s Creation and Handel’s Messiah as well as a special evening celebrating the music of James Bond and, of course, the RSNO’s Christmas Concert featuring The Snowman on the big screen.
