If you can hit it, you can make music with it – and in the hands of Scottish percussion superstar Colin Currie, anything’s possible. A team of RSNO musicians joins Currie for an afternoon concert with a transatlantic flavour, all inspired by a giant among living composers, Steve Reich. Pieces of wood, aluminium bars, the chime of the marimba and the otherworldly atmosphere of an airport lounge: with a bit of magic, they can all create music. And Currie has wizardry to spare.
