‘What love tells me’: that’s how Mahler described the rapturous finale of his Third Symphony. But he has to get there first, and along the way trumpets call, stars shine and a children’s choir turns into a jubilant peal of bells. In short, anything can happen – and in this huge, glowing extravaganza of a symphony, it usually does! With Music Director Thomas Sondergard, mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor, members of the RSNO and RSNO Youth Choruses and a supersized orchestra, it’s an unforgettable way to end our Concert Season.

Gain insight into the music with our musicians at the pre-concert talk at 6.45pm in the Upper Circle Bar in Edinburgh and the Clyde Foyer in Glasgow. Free to ticket holders.

The running time of this concert is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
