Principal Horn Amadea Dazeley-Gaist
Amadea Dazeley-Gaist is French and British, originally from a small town in Brittany, France. Amadea studied at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, graduating with a Master of Music in Performance with Distinction in 2024.
While at the RCM she was awarded the prestigious Michael Quinn Award and was generously supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Notable achievements during her time at the RCM include the ABRSM Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award, and the Horn Prize in the RCM Solo Brass Competition in both 2022 and 2023.
Amadea has played with numerous prestigious orchestras in the UK, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to name a few. As a soloist, Amadea has performed some of the most renowned horn concerti, including Mozart’s Horn Concerto No4 with the New English Consort Orchestra, Strauss’ Horn Concerto No2 with the City of London Sinfonia, and most recently, Strauss’ Horn Concerto No1 with the London Mozart Players.
