Associate Leader Lena Zeliszewska

When did you join the RSNO?
I joined the RSNO in November 2016

Where are you from?
Lublin, a city in Southeast Poland

Where did you study?
I did my Masters degree in Poznan, Poland. I then moved to London for post-graduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music. Quite recently I completed my Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

What do you enjoy most about being in the RSNO?
People. It’s a wonderfully splendid group of individuals that come together and create a very special atmosphere.

Tell us your favourite RSNO story/memory so far.
The recent tour to the States. Beautiful weather, amazing views of Arizona and California, and I thought the orchestra sounded marvellous in one of my favourite pieces – Prokofiev 5th Symphony.

You’re stranded on a desert island. You’re allowed 3 CDs and 1 book. What would they be, and why?
I’d love to take my violin with me if that’s an option 🙂
