In Focus: Beethoven, Music & The Mind

Tue 15 Sep 2020, 7.30PM
New Auditorium, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow

As we continue our Beethoven 250 celebrations, Gillian Moore, Director of Music at the Southbank Centre, chairs an enlightening round-table discussion exploring the themes of mental health and music. Scottish composer Jay Capperauld and Principal Flute Katherine Bryan introduce the themes behind Jay’s new Flute Concerto Our Gilded Veins, which was inspired by the Japanese technique kintsugi and is centred around the idea of celebrating the broken histories of ourselves. Join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening.
